This week in Reception, the children have been brining together everything they have learnt about Antarctica and South Korea. They worked as a class to create own class presentation, where they shared facts about the places such as housing, food, animals etc. The children then shared their presentations with the other class.
We also spent time in the woodlands using our senses, thinking about what we could see, hear, smell and feel in the natural environment and then made drawings inspired by these senses.
In maths, we have been learning about odd and even numbers. The children explored which numbers can be shared into equal groups and which cannot. We also talked about how to recognise if a number is odd or even and practised explaining our thinking.
We then ended our week with some water play, which the children loved! There were lots of laughter and giggles as the children splashed, sprayed and squirted water at each other.
