Author & Illustrator Jamie Littler

Our Year 4 children received a virtual visit from Jamie Littler, a professional author and illustrator, on Friday 27th November. The children were thoroughly inspired by his visit and enjoyed the activities he provided them with. They were especially proud of the illustrations they produced. 

Blue Cross Pets & Wellbeing Workshops

From EYFS to Year 6, Blue Cross virtually delivered workshops raising awareness of the needs of pets and how this mirrors the needs we have as humans. During the workshops, children took part in a workout highlighting the importance of exercise as an important contribution to wellbeing for both pets and humans. Children also learnt about how to be safe around pets and approach them cautiously.    

Virtual Bedtime Stories Event

This year our annual bedtime stories event became virtual due to COVID-19. Teachers and children put on their pyjamas and onesies and logged into Zoom. Across the event children were able to listen to 3 stories chosen from a variety which were on offer to them. Many many families joined the event and there was a real online buzz throughout the event. We were so pleased to be able to continue this much loved event despite the pandemic.
