27th November 2015 - Oak Class celebrates British Values

On Friday 27th November, Oak Class worked within their Houses to produce Posters on how we live British Values at Grove Primary School.

First of all, pupils discussed what values they already had to guide them within the school.  They said that Golden Values helped them behave better whereas the Golden Behaviours for Learning enabled them to improve their work.

Then they discussed at length what the 5 British Values of Democracy, Rule of Law, Individual Liberty, Respect and Tolerance referred to and how those values were incorporated into our school life.  They then worked in Houses to organise a list of events which take place in the school into the 5 British Values and used this information to collaboratively design their posters.

Throughout the morning pupils demonstrated our Golden Behaviours for Learning of Collaboration, High Aspiration, Independence, Pride and Personal Responsibility.  Well done to Oak Class and to the House Captains who did an outstanding job.
