On Friday 21st November, Reverend Upton came to our school to teach us how to sign "Away in a Manger" using British Sign Language so that we can sing and sign at our special Christmas Service at Carlton Colville Church on Thursday 18th December. We really enjoyed it and have found that we are pretty good at it too!!!
Reverend Upton is coming back a week before the performance to give us some last minute tips. All of us at Grove would like to thank him very much for giving up his time to help us and for doing the videos below so that we can practise. It would be good if family and friends could support us by learning it too!!!!
If you are really good at signing using BSL, why not challenge yourself to learn the following song. Happy Singing and Signing!
You could also learn the British Sign Language Alphabet so that you are ready when you want to make friends with someone who can only communicate that way in the future.
