1st May - School Ambassadors' Assembly on Democracy and the Democratic Process

On Friday 1st May, nine of our School Ambassadors performed a little play to explain to their peers, staff and Governors the difficult concept of Democracy.

The story started with a BBC Newsround called Isabel trying to find out a bit more about becoming a politician.   She made her way to Lowestoft where she met all the 5 Parliamentary candidates for Waveney on the beach where they were busy canvassing.

During the conversation the existing Waveney MP invited her to meet the leader of his party and Isabel made her way to 10 Downing Street in London.   She met David Cameron in person and had a chat with him whilst he was driven to the Palace of Westminster Prime Minister's Questions (PMQ).

When they reached the Houses of Parliament, where MPs make up and vote the laws of the land she was introduced to the leaders of the other political parties.
