Thursday 25th June

Year 1 visited the church to take part in a mock wedding. We had a lovely afternoon, here are some pictures.

Learning Cafe

For our learning cafe this term we would appreciate any help you could offer in clearing a section of garden behind the classroom. As you can see from the pictures below the garden is heavily overgrown and it is not safe for children to be entering there unsupervised, due to the stinging nettles.

I believe this would be a fantastic opportunity for you and your child to work together to develop your child's knowledge of caring for their environment and to help them continue with their 'Plants' topic in science by identifying between weeds and flowers.

The learning cafe will take place in the afternoon, so you can bring along suitable clothing for your child to change into so their uniform does not get muddy. We have limited equipment so if you have any spare gloves or equipment that you could bring we would be very grateful.

We look forward to seeing you!

Autumn Term

We are delighted that our igloo is now finished!

Building the Igloo

The children enjoyed the visit from the Samoyed dog; the visit has stimulated lots of interesting questions and fantastic written work.

The children during Science day made different coloured candles, which has helped to develop their understanding of the properties of different materials.
